The Dixie Bikini
Earthy and made entirely by hand, the Dixie Bikini combines a rich dark brown suede inner with 100% cotton crochet detailing.
The triangle-style top features a soft dark brown suede inner, finished with hand-crocheted brown trim made from 100% cotton. Elasticated straps allow for a comfortable, flexible fit, with double neck ties for extra support and a single adjustable tie around the back for comfort.
At the centre sits a labradorite stone sourced from Mongolia, individually wrapped by hand in intricate micro-macramé. Wooden beads finish the ties, adding to Dixie’s earthy, handcrafted feel.
The bottoms feature a dark brown suede inner, 100% cotton crochet trim and an elasticated waistband designed to sit comfortably against the body.
As every Dixie is handmade, slight variations are part of what makes each piece unique.

Dixie Size Guide
Dixie is designed to fit true to size with a snug, secure fit.
If you are between sizes or prefer a slightly more relaxed fit, we recommend sizing up.
Model Beth wears a S top and M bottom (her usual size is top:S bottoms:S-M).
Model Maddie wears a L top and L bottom (her usual size is top:L bottom:L).

Dixie Bottom
The Dixie bottom is designed to sit high on the hips with a cheeky cut. The suede has minimal stretch, while the waistband is elasticated for a secure fit.

The top is designed to fit snugly and securely and is true to size.

A note on Dixie sizing ꩜
Our first Dixie batch came up smaller than intended, so we’ve adjusted the sizing online to better reflect the true fit.
Your sewn-in size tag may differ from the size selected online.
The garment hasn’t changed; we’ve simply updated the sizing to make finding your fit easier.
Care
- Gentle hand wash only in cool water.
- Do not wring or twist.
- Reshape gently while damp.
- Lay flat to dry in the shade.
- Do not tumble dry.
As this piece is made using natural fibres and handmade materials, some softening, fading or colour variation may naturally occur over time with wear, washing and exposure to sunlight, saltwater or chlorine.

Thank you for choosing something made slowly and with care. Once your Mahala piece is ready to leave us, we’ll wrap it thoughtfully and send it on its way to you as soon as we can.

As a small, independent brand, each order is packed by hand with care.
Please allow 1–3 business days for your order to be packed and dispatched.
Once your parcel is on its way, estimated Australia Post delivery times are:
Standard Shipping
Metro areas: approximately 2–5 business days
Regional areas: up to 7 business days
Express Shipping
Metro areas within the Australia Post Express network: approximately 1–2 business days
Regional areas: up to 3 business days
These timeframes are estimates provided by Australia Post and may occasionally shift during busy periods or due to unexpected delays along the way.

Once your order has been lovingly packed and sent on its journey, you’ll receive a shipping confirmation email with your tracking number.
You can follow your parcel all the way to your door through Australia Post.

Please take a moment to make sure your delivery address is correct before placing your order.
We can send your parcel to residential addresses, business addresses, PO Boxes and Parcel Lockers throughout Australia.
If your parcel finds its way back to us because an incorrect or incomplete address was entered at checkout, an additional postage fee may be required to send it back out to you.

I’d love you to know that Mahala is rooted in reciprocity with the earth. We believe that if we take from nature, we should do so with care, gratitude and intention. That means choosing natural materials where we can, making slowly, producing in small batches, valuing the hands behind each piece, and creating things to be kept and loved rather than quickly replaced.
Being mindful of this our packaging choices are as follows.

Recycle with cardboard, or reuse it for storage, gifting or gardening.

Made from 80% recycled plastic. Give it another adventure — reuse or recycle with soft plastics if available in your area.

Reuse or compost.

Leave it on the box when recycling.

Keep it for wrapping gifts, gardening or craft projects.
Limited Drop Returns and Exchange Policy
Mahala pieces are created slowly and released in limited small-batch drops. Because quantities are intentionally kept small, we cannot guarantee that a particular style, colour or size will ever be restocked.
For this reason, we do not offer returns, refunds or exchanges for change of mind, incorrect size selection or a change in preference.
